Proper storage of dry batteries is crucial for maintaining their performance and lifespan. The last thing you want is to be in the field and find yourself unable to power essential devices like fleshlights, flashlights, weapon lights, optics, or other gadgets. I’ve tried using inexpensive plastic fishing lure containers, but often encountered issues such as batteries touching each other or being exposed to the elements, resulting in unusable batteries.
It is recommended to store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures and to avoid storing batteries in humid environments as moisture can lead to corrosion and leakage so the best way to store batteries even though a little pricey is the Thyrm CellVault.
It is waterproof, locks up nice and tight and honestly is hard to misplace especially when thrown into your range bag or into your center console. You can attach it to molle however I have never found the need to use that feature.
The vault comes with various inserts for storing different battery types, including 18650, 18350, CR123, and CR2032.
While I’d enjoy discussing further how you store your flashlight batteries, I’m afraid I’m running late to pick up someone’s mom.
